  • We support individuals through many of life’s challenges—like anxiety, stress, self esteem issues, relationships, fertility struggles, and big life transitions. We also specialize in therapy for high achieving professionals and offer emotional wellness services for corporate teams.   • Therapy is a safe space to explore what’s going on in your life—with someone who listens, supports, and walks alongside you. At Wave Mental Wellness, therapy is personalized, non judgmental, and rooted in empathy and connection.

    Our style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real life tools. We blend evidence based approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive strategies through a trauma informed and culturally sensitive lens.

  • Absolutely, we deeply understand what it’s like to be a woman juggling many hats. We work with women navigating anxiety, perfectionism, self doubt or low self esteem, motherhood, fertility challenges, and more. We hold space for you to feel seen, supported, and empowered—no matter what season of life you're in.

  • Yes! The founder of Wave worked 12+ years in the corporate world, offering a unique insight into the struggles professionals face. We specialize in supporting high achieving professionals who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck. Whether you're navigating career stress, leadership challenges, or work-life boundaries, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself and move forward with more ease and confidence.

  • Yes, we offer couples therapy for partners who want to reconnect, improve communication, or move through conflict with more understanding. We work with all types of relationships in a safe, inclusive space. Therapy can help you both feel heard and supported.

  • Yes. We partner with organizations to provide mental health and wellness services that support employee wellbeing and team culture. Services can include one-on-one support, group workshops, and wellness program design tailored to your company’s unique needs. Whatever it is you’re seeking, reach out to see how we can help!

  • Wave Mental Wellness is based in Calgary, Alberta. Our office is located just outside downtown Calgary in the same building as the SKA Thermal Spa (306, 638 11 Ave SW). We offer in person therapy sessions on Mondays & Tuesdays.

    We also offer online therapy across Canada Monday to Saturday, so you can get support wherever you are.

    Evening sessions are also available for both methods!

    If you’re ready to book - click the ‘book now’ button on the site and it will take you to our booking platform Jane. There you can create a profile, and choose the session you’re interested in booking.

  • We provide receipts for reimbursement under most extended health benefits that cover clinical counselling, psychotherapy, counselling therapy, and mental health therapy. At this time, we do not offer direct billing. We’re happy to walk you through the process if you’re unsure about your coverage, and if you have questions always reach out to your provider.

  • It can definitely be confusing—we get this question a lot! All of these professionals are trained to support mental health and emotional wellbeing, but there are some differences in background and scope:

    • Registered Clinical Counsellors / Psychotherapists focus on talk therapy and emotional support. They’re trained in various approaches - at Wave, our therapist falls into this category.

    • Psychologists often provide therapy, but they’re also trained in assessments and diagnosis.

    • Registered Social Workers (RSWs) also offer therapy and emotional support, often with a strong focus on systems, community, and advocacy. Many work in both clinical and community-based settings.

    At the end of the day, it’s less about the title—and more about finding someone you connect with and feel safe with. If you’re unsure who’s the best fit, we’re happy to help you figure it out.
