Meet Erin

Hello! I am so happy you’re here because connecting with and helping others has always been a passion of mine.

Originally from a small town on the east coast, I moved to Calgary in 2012 where I worked in the corporate sector for 12+years while simultaneously volunteering in the mental health field. It was an area that always filled my cup, as I have been passionate about finding connection in the struggles that we all face. After the pandemic hit, I decided to follow my dreams of pursuing a Masters in Counselling Psychology and opening my own practice.

The idea of creating Wave Mental Wellness excited me during my own personal wellness journey, as I realized I wanted to build a community where everyone was able to feel valued and accepted while achieving a complete sense of wellbeing.

I’ve been described as organically warm, bubbly, and empathetic — if you think I would be a good fit for your mental wellness needs, I would love to connect.

PS. my life outside of work mostly consists of spending time outdoors with my dog & loved ones, travelling / planning my next trip, or watching Bravo tv shows (and likely eating popcorn).

Treatment Approach & Personal Style

Empowering people to embrace their authentic selves and move toward their full potential is at the heart of what I do. I show up with empathy, warmth, and trust — believing that real healing happens in genuine, human connection. Together we’ll face whatever life has brought your way — the ups, downs, storms, and stillness.

Because therapy is deeply personal (and sometimes vulnerable), I work with you to create a space that feels safe and supportive from the start. We’ll set personalized goals based on your unique needs, where I always welcome feedback — so our work can grow and evolve with you.

My approach is rooted in holistic, humanistic values — I believe people are inherently good and already hold so much wisdom within. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and bottom up modalities like somatic experiencing, honoring the powerful mind body connection. I also integrate mindfulness, strengths based strategies, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), all through a trauma informed and culturally responsive lens.

“We all come from different life experiences that deeply shape who we are. Being a trusted resource that builds long-lasting relationships is at the heart of Wave and who I am”
